The story of the hike
A peaceful nature hike that starts from Õnnela in the middle of the Ohepalu countryside. The route leads through quiet forests and wetlands to Lake Ohepalu and the bog landscape around it. Forest paths, wide bog views, pools and the silence typical of this place alternate along the way.
This is one of the host's own favourite morning loops. Here you can slow down, watch the seasons change and discover places that an ordinary passer-by knows nothing about.
Õnnela's guests are always welcome to explore these trails. Whenever possible, Ahto comes along on the morning hike himself.
The trail passes through the Ohepalu nature reserve. According to the sign by the road, the Ellamaa strict protection zone is closed to visitors from 1 February to 31 July.
