Data protection
Privacy and data protection
This page explains what personal data the onnela.ee website collects, why and how we use it, and what rights you have.
Who processes the data
The controller is Foodmakers OÜ (registry code 14853723), Ambla mnt 3, 45106 Tapa, Estonia, which runs Õnnela Guesthouse. For data protection questions contact Ahto Neidek, [email protected], +372 5650 6858.
Enquiry form
When you send us an enquiry, we store the form data: name, email address, phone number, preferred date, number of guests, message and the page the enquiry was sent from. We use it only to reply to your enquiry, make an offer and arrange a booking. The legal basis is steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation).
The enquiry is stored in the website database and forwarded by email to our mailbox. We keep enquiries for as long as needed to reply and to carry out the booking, and delete them afterwards.
Visitor statistics without cookies
To understand how the website is used we count page views. The statistics do not use cookies. We store the address of the page visited, the page you came from, the technical description of your browser and the browser, operating system and device type derived from it. To count visits on the same day we use an anonymous code calculated from the IP address, the browser and a random key that changes every day. The IP address itself is not stored, and visitors cannot be identified across days. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the website (Article 6(1)(f)).
Facebook pixel
We use the Facebook pixel of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd to measure the results of our Facebook ads. The pixel only runs if you have chosen “Accept” in the cookie banner. It then sends Meta information about the page visit and uses cookies (for example _fbp). The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw your consent at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Your choice is stored in your browser for six months. Meta processes this data under its own privacy policy.
Service providers
The website and database run on the Cloudflare platform, and emails arrive in our Google (Gmail) mailbox. These providers may also process data outside the European Union using safeguards approved by the EU. We do not sell data or pass it to third parties for marketing.
Links to other websites
The website links to Instagram, Facebook, Google Maps, Wikiloc and Komoot. When you open those pages, their own privacy terms apply.
Your rights
You have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing and to object. Write to us at [email protected]. If you believe we are violating your rights, you can contact the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, www.aki.ee) or the supervisory authority in your own country.
