Linnumäe Organic Farm

Come spend time as if in an ancient fairy tale! A forest cabin with a sauna, pond, and hot tub.
The sounds of civilization rarely reach the yard of this sauna cabin. The archaic complex, preserved in its natural state, is located near the Ohepalu bog on a small clearing at the edge of the bog. Only the first inhabitants of the estate — Kargu Kaarel and Kargu Leena — observe the happenings from pictures hanging on the wall.

Already at the door, an indescribable old scent greets the visitor, bringing to mind childhood, grandmother's times, or an open-air museum where you can actually live.

It is in houses like these that Estonians have lived for centuries. This is the environment in which we have grown into a resilient and strong nation over time.

The historical small farmer's estate in Northern Estonia at Linnumäe is the only well-preserved sauna cabin in the area. It has survived to this day without electricity, and lighting is provided only by candles and oil lamps.
Guest Testimonials

Greetings to Linnumäe Organic Farm! Our family of four spent the pre-Christmas period at Linnumäe Organic Farm as if in an ancient fairy tale. Upon stepping through the door of the cabin, we were greeted by the scent of the house, which was full of stories from its history. The creaking floors, heating devices, and natural candlelight took our thoughts far away from everyday tasks, and the relaxing sauna together with refreshing snow play helped all family members to thoroughly unwind. Thank you! Our recommendations for staying at Linnumäe farm (in cold -15…-20 degrees): If possible, use sleeping bags for sleeping. If only blankets are available, it's a good idea to take the bedding to the warm sauna before going to bed; Allocate time and patience for heating. Bring firewood inside to dry overnight; A snowshoeing trip to the bog is an exciting experience for both big and small.

Best regards,
Siiri and Reigo
